Empowering Students and Families in Kibiti, Pwani Region

As part of my commitment to community development and ensuring access to education for all, 2025 I launched a project aimed at supporting students in Kibiti , Pwani Region. The project focused on providing school uniforms for both male and female students and clothing for individuals in need, particularly families experiencing financial hardship. Many students from disadvantaged backgrounds struggle to attend school due to the lack of proper uniforms, which are often required as part of the school dress code. By addressing this barrier, this initiative has encouraged school attendance, boosted students’ confidence, and alleviated some financial burdens for families who would otherwise struggle to afford uniforms.

Supporting Children with Albinism and Visually Impaired Adults in Dodoma

In 2023, through my foundation, we provided school uniforms to 150 children with albinism and clothing to 100 blind adults in Dodoma. This initiative was designed to promote dignity, enhance well-being, and foster inclusivity for marginalized groups who often face discrimination and economic hardships. Children with albinism frequently experience social stigma, discrimination, and even violence in some parts of Tanzania. Many of them come from low-income families who struggle to provide essential needs, including school uniforms. By ensuring they have proper attire, we not only boosted their self-esteem but also reinforced the importance of education as a means of securing a better future. Similarly, visually impaired adults face multiple challenges, including economic instability and exclusion from the workforce. Providing them with clothing aimed to restore a sense of dignity and self-worth, ensuring that they, too, feel seen, valued, and supported. This initiative is part of my ongoing commitment to social equity and inclusion, and I aspire to continue advocating for the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. Moving forward, I aim to expand the program, collaborate with disability organizations, and seek sustainable solutions to improve their quality of life.
